Hi all....here is the recap I said I would get to you
all:

We are in good shape financially
·
Picnic is still scheduled for Thursay
August 11th: 2-6pm/ I will reserve a pavillion at
Gov D in the very near future.
·
We decided to ask the Adult Ed group to join us, for
their help wrangling kids and to join in the fellowship.
·
We will hash out picnic details at our next meeting
July 28th.
·
Sue Levetzow joined our
meeting and has agreed to set up our FaceBook
page and we will emailing her at the end of July to set up a training
meeting for keeping our page updated/ eventually the church will have 2
pages one for the church in general and one for youth group activies.
·
Rhonda is working on getting somekind
of Mission Group presentation/followup
together.....the kids will be presenting a skit on July 17th....with
mission pictures available for viewing in the gathereing
area. (we will try to get the kids to sign Thankyous for Pizza Hut, Mary Circle, Ericksons, Gert Peterson
after the services).

The Mission kids will present the skit again
September 25th.
·
The Youth group will be planning a "Work N
Worship" day in the fall, the kids from the
mission trip were very enthusiastic for this type of event.
·
We have set the 2011-12 Calendar based on what worked
and what didn't work this past year...calendar is as follows:

August 11th - Youth Group Picnic - @ Gov D 2-6pm
·
Weds Sept 21st: Youth Meeting in Youth Group
area/kickoff
·
Weds Oct 19th: fall visit to LCC followed by dinner
·
Weds Nov 16th: OCC box prep and filling
·
Weds Dec 14th: Caroling @Upland Hills
·
Weds Jan 18th: assemble Millitary
Care packages
·
Weds Feb 15th: training for LSS
·
Lent is Feb 22 - Apr 8th
·
Weds Mar 21st: LSS
·
Weds April 18th: TBA
·
Weds May 16th: End of Year Visit to LCC followed by
dinner
·
June/July - 2012 Mission Trip TBA
·
Other non Weds nite
activities: Possible MN trip to work in the OCC warehouse, Movie night,
Work and Worship Day, and attend a concert, fundraising and promotion of
2012 Mission Trip.
·
On August 1st Kathy Bramlett
and Andrea Potterton are going to tagteam call the OCC folks to try and get us a
spot at the warehouse. Stay tuned.
·
Next Youth Team Meeting: Thurs July 28th @ Andrea Pottertons
·
The August Youth Team meeting will cover selection of
2012 Mission trip and going over Facebook info.
Whew.....I know it is alot
to process....but we, as a team, can make this all happen.....thanks to all
of you for all your hard work and dedication....you are the best!!!
