Grace Lutheran Church : Dodgeville, Wisconsin

Purpose Statement:
A community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and wholeness in the church, in society and the world. The president in 2006 is Darlene Lindeman.

Mission of the Women of the ELCA:
“To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.”

It is a custom at Grace to have every woman in a Circle. With so many women working, it is difficult to fit everyone into a “convenient” time, however, we encourage every woman to attend a Circle that best fits her schedule. Circle meetings include a monthly Bible study which is found in the Lutheran Woman Today magazine (all new women members of the church receive a one year free gift subscription), a limited amount of business, and informal socializing over simple refreshments.

The GLCW meeting is held the first Thursday of the month in the Fellowship Hall. Call the church office at 935-5718 for the time of the meeting.

Sewing Day is held the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We construct quilt tops with donated fabric and turn them into comforters for Lutheran World Relief projects.
